  • Overview

    The Finance Manager for HBM Holdings will be responsible for the accounting, finance, and budgeting functions for the Holding Company as well as the monthly consolidations and financial reporting. Other areas include business and financial analysis, decision support, bank covenants, board presentations and monthly business reports. In addition, the position will provide broad-based analytical support for due diligence and integration efforts related to acquisitions. Responsibilities will also include coordinating the annual external audits and preparation of the Company’s audited financial statements and Federal and State tax returns.


    • Responsible for month and year-end closing and consolidation. Includes ensuring close timeliness and accuracy, account reconciliations, journal entry preparations/postings.
    • Provide analytical support during due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions.
    • Coordinate year-end financial statement audit with outside CPA firm.
    • Assist with the implementation and operation of HBM’s new financial tools and systems across the portfolio (consolidation/budgeting tool, expense reporting tool, etc.).
    • Assist with insurance coverages at each location and aggregate data for insurance renewals and audits.
    • Oversees the budget and forecasting process. Calculates variances from the budget and analyzes and reports on major issues.
    • Assist the Corporate Controller with various portfolio company projects including coordination and analysis of capital projects, financial process and system upgrades/recommendations, and cost analysis.
    • Compiles data and works with outside CPA firm to complete local, state, and federal income tax returns.
    • Coordinates annual pension and 401k audits with outside auditors, including preparation of audit workpapers, the audited financial statements and 5500s.
    • Analyze and monitor bank covenants and cash investment accounts.
    • Travel to all company locations is included in the scope of responsibilities. Expected travel is up to 20% annually.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA certification is preferred.
    • 5-10 years’ experience within a financial/accounting role.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and some experience with income tax laws and filings.
    • Must be able to quickly gain an understanding of HBM portfolio businesses and work hand-in-hand with portfolio business leaders.
    • Must have strong problem solving and decision making skills and good business acumen.
    • Experience working with multiple locations/businesses with manufacturing experience desired.
