  • Overview

    As a member of the Aerofil leadership team, the Director of Human Resources will have responsibility for oversight of the HR function for the business. The HR Director is expected to demonstrate broad expertise in all HR related areas, with an emphasis on being a business partner, employee relations, employee development, and recruitment. The HR Director will partner with HBM Holdings (Parent Company) on many HR topics, but especially benefits, compensation, and employee development and engagement.


    • Business Partner
      • Serve as strategic HR business partner to the Aerofil leadership team, especially the CEO.
      • Work with managers and staff to provide leadership and guidance in all HR-related issues.
      • Oversee all aspects of employee relations; ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently. Provide consultative support to managers and supervisors.
      • Work closely with HBM Holdings on performance management program, development and retention of employees, and employee engagement survey.
      • Prepare and assist with highly-sensitive activities, such as succession planning, reorganizations, terminations, etc.
      • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to CEO and respective leaders.
    • Recruiting & Staffing:
      • Oversee recruiting and staffing process for permanent and temporary positions.
      • Maintain working knowledge of the talent needs, gaps, and challenges within Aerofil; enable workforce planning analytics and forecasting for staffing.
      • Lead effective new employee orientation and onboarding.
      • Ensure an effective hiring process including preparing and extending offers, background and drug screens, and facilitating a meaningful selection process.
    • Benefits & Compensation:
      • Possess comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit and compensation programs and work closely with benefits broker and HBM to ensure programs align with company core values, and are effective at attracting and retaining talent.
      • Coordinate merit planning process and annual management incentive (annual bonus) in partnership with Finance and HBM.
      • Remain current on local market trends related to benefits and compensation, keeping in mind that rewards are a meaningful component of our strategy to attract and retain talent.
    • Training:
      • Work closely with managers and HBM on developing and conducting HR and leadership training, including, diversity, sexual harassment, and leadership development training.
      • Coordinate with local training resources at the site to ensure continued momentum with hourly employee training and skill building.
    • Compliance:
      • Provide oversight of administration of time and attendance policy.
      • Approve/prepare reports related to time and attendance.
      • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADAA to minimize risk/exposure to the company.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required. Master’s degree preferred; HR certification a plus
    • Broad background as a HR Generalist required, with an emphasis on full-lifecycle recruiting and employee relations; talent management and creative retention strategies are beneficial.
    • 7-10 years of HR experience required with experience managing a HR team.
