  • Overview

    To lead the quality unit effectively by developing, implementing and managing the highest level of quality expectations utilizing established standards and customer specifications from incoming inspection through finished good packaging.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain equipment in all quality laboratories.
    • Write reports such as customer/consumer complaints, CAPA’s, customer based process capability reports.
    • Ensure proper tools and equipment is available and calibrated for the quality department.
    • Assist with internal and external quality audits.
    • Maintain all standard work in the quality department.
    • Schedule regular training sessions with all QCT’s.
    • Performance evaluations and disciplinary action as required.
    • Scheduling all 3rd party maintenance and calibrations on all instrumentation within the quality department.
    • Review and troubleshoot any out-of-specification condition.
    • Regular attendance per handbook policy.
    • Other duties as may be assigned

    Qualifications

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
    • The worker constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
    • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers, accurately, loudly or quickly.
    • Visual/hearing ability sufficient to quickly analyze and comprehend written and verbal communication on all business documents.
    • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction such as the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
    • Repetitive motion such as substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity with or without assistance such as: determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned and make general observations of structures
    • Able to lift 25-50 lbs. consistently.

     

    Workplace Requirements:

    • Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job.
    • Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Know and follow Standard Work.
    • Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified.

    Education

     

    Bachelors’ Degree in technical area.

     

    Experience:

    • Minimum of five (5) years quality experience required.
    • Previous supervisory experience or the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
    • Basic tehnical writing skills required.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Ability to work flexible hours as may be needed.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to internal and external customers.
    • Possess the ability to establish rapport with direct reports, must have proven ability with positive team building skills, leading by example.
